We gave this bike to our 10 year old daughter for her birthday. She absolutely flipped out over it! We are kind of a beach cruiser family and she needed one that fit her. She is 55" tall and this bike fits her perfectly. Feels very solid and not cheesy (I rode it around the block and I am over 200 lbs). Super cool girly graphics and paint job. She gets compliments on this sweet bike even from BOYS! OMG! There are cheaper bikes out there but remember you get what you pay for. We paid for a good one and we got one. Everyone is happy.

This is a great bike according to my 10 year old daughter. I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars because, like the 26 in version I bought for myself, it came without any assembly instructions. Not difficult to assemble, but would have been much easier with a few instructions. They could have at least put of picture of the finished bike in the box.

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter after shopping for ages for a bike that would suit her and not cost $500. It seems like a lot of the multi-speed bikes for this size and age range don't have the greatest components from a lot of the reviews I read, and it's been pretty frustrating shopping for a bike that would suit her.
When I came across this one, my first reaction was "oh, it's just a single speed". Then I thought back to my childhood and I didn't have a multi-speed bike until I was in my late teens. So I thought for the cost, and the reviews this bike would be worth the try.
There is some assembly - but I'm pretty good with all of that. The book was somewhat confusing as it had instructions for 3-4 bikes of various types. It took me about an hour to assemble it, and I needed a few tools (a couple of small crescent wrenches came in handy). There was some small damage that happened during shipping or packaging, but overall the bike looks great and rides well. It was a little tall for my daughter (who has tried other bikes this size at their shortest seat setting and fit them), but she's gotten used to that, and I think by the time she's 9, she will have grown into it.
I would totally recommend buying this to anyone! Great basic bike for the price.
